At Last!

The time to blog has finally come.

Sitting on the bus on my way to language class in Budapest, I find myself writing little "blog notes" to my friends in my head . . . it's time to commit them to the page! Staying on top of email these days can be a bit of a challenge, but I want my buddies to know you're thought of often and missed! I won't attempt to catch up on my first four months here in one big entry, but gradually I'll get those pictures in, too. There have been some really 'special' Kodak moments, let me tell you.

So here's to sharing the journey together. Thanks so much, friends, for your encouragement and support along the way. And here begins the P.S. (Post Script)--the little extras that haven't quite made it to the emails yet . . .

TODAY: We finally got some snow!! If you could have only seen this Southern California girl's delight. Frankly, I have felt cheated out of a decent winter. People warned me about dressing warm and bring all that long underwear, and then . . . practically nothing to show for it! This picture shows the one other day of snow since I've been here--barely 1/10 of an inch. (How do they measure that anyway?) Glad I documented it for proof of the short-lived whiteness.
