One rule that I've determined since living here: NEVER BE WITHOUT YOUR CAMERA.
On the way home from the InterSpar grocery store yesterday, we decided to take a detour around town and enjoy a little Sunday drive. This is the picture that inspired such an adventure.
A little artistic flair at my neighbor's house. You probably won't see these lovely yard decorations in the next edition of Better Homes and Gardens.
However, some of the most rundown homes are the most quaint. (This one's for you, Boni.)
Hedgehogs are very common here, so I'm told, but this was our first personal sighting!
Now THIS was a trickier shot to capture. It's not easy to drive by in stealth mode with U2 blaring out the windows of my bright red car. But we made four passes to get this photo. This is a picture of typical gardening attire--and yes, I DO mean the speedo.
The high-quality aesthetics that make the OBU cringe. Ugly IS international, Mom . . . no thanks to the Communist 'artistic' influence of solid ol' concrete.
And last but not least, this lovely pup welcomed us up the street as we pulled into the driveway. My neighbor's dog is just one of the howling nightmares of the town. One starts and they all go! Still looking for a picture of the dreadlock dogs, a special Hungarian breed that always makes you wonder how long it's been since their last bath.
